Engineers - Are seatpost shims frame-friendly??

stupid question, but if a seat-tube is butted surely whether you use a shim or not the post/shim will only touch the walls of the seat-tube for a relatively short distance anyway?

Did you ever find the Titanio you were looking for Woz?

Wow, that's some moons ago....I did, but always looking for another. PM me the details. :)

Yep - assuming internally butted.

Not a stupid question at all :D

My Marin is externally butted so no problem :D

My Ti frame has a welded in shim - the USE shim that goes in the frame to, is longer than the Ti frame insert.

That plug on the end of the post is a great idea, but wouldn't suit a internally butted frame or my Ti frame :-(

WD :D
