This is a old steel Elswick whirlwind that I have updated a little & converted to single speed.
I have all the original stuff it came with(wheels, gears, bars ect ect) but have updated the following..
Frame was shotblasted and repainted red
New light 700c wheels(off a £1500.00 Giant defy, very light)
New Shimano crank with bottom bracket
Supertars single speed kit in place of rear cassette and mech
New Charge spoon seat
New Charge flat bars & Marin medium rise bars
New stem(cant remember brand but is a light roadie type thing)
New brake lever, cables, cable housing
Since the pic above its had a set of 2nd hand ITM spider carbon fibre forks fitted, I've not even road it with these on yet.
All in all reckon its cost me about £240 but only looking for £130 back for a quick sale. Its a great light training bike, and thats all I've used it for mostly, with the odd 25mile each way commute. The gearing is set to 46 - 18 I think which allows me to average 18mph on most rides, not as quick as a roadie with gears but a lot more effort has to be put in
BB to top of seat tube - 54cm
Top of seat tube to center of headtube - 58cm
Rear axle to front axle - 105cm
Based in north Liverpool
