They any good??

Picked a pair up earlier, if they don't sell I'm going to have to buy a pair of shoes

I've used eggs on and off for years , really like them, great to get in and out of and ace if you have problems with your knees ,, or ride like a monkey, in the winter months I've not found anything better through the thick english mud, but sadly my experience is that the bearings are a weak link,, I've gone back to shimano or ritchey for nearly all the bikes now,, just for reliability more than anything else.. :)

Really like the tiny size of them, just wondered about functionality..

Problem solved this time round since it seems they're sold (meaning I don't have to fork out cash on shoes  ) but worth bearing in mind for the future (and if my knees get worse) .. .. cheers Si 8)

Also look at Time ATAC pedals. They appear to have all the positive things that Eggbeaters offer, though with a little bit more weight, but with bearings that last much longer.

I have a pair of ATAC Aliums that have served for 10 years on my singlespeed, and are still on their original bearings and bushings (greased every couple of years), but the engagement rods/loops are starting to look a little worn.

Shimano if you want reliability

Crank Bros if you like bling & rebuilding pedals.

Some CB pedals need new bearing kits less often as some others, can't remember which are the best for longevity.

~£25 for a pair of bearing kits for Eggbeaters.

I've used them for a number of years and before that Time Atacs,I likes 'em!

I now have a couple of pairs for sale aswell as a Pair of Bontrager shoes.

al.

ps Size 46.
