I haven't seen any in that particular colour way with the italicised font. Most seem to use the bubble font instead.

Hi, ams_1910, if you're still active here.

I was also looking for this information! Other than mine, yours, and one other particular frame I've seen on Google Images, I've never seen the italicised typeface/Hitachi livery combo elsewhere. Attached a few images: https://imgur.com/a/Glu34Yc

Re:

I've seen many frames that predate mine ('88) that have the round font. Or they have at least been said to be pre-88.

And very well, except it wasn't Strada. At the time, EMC used 4 different fonts:
- the old classic "italic" on Professional, early Pro, 3-Athlete, Strada and some Corsa
- unique (used on the FAEMA 68-70) on some Professional frames (Team Issue series) and some Corsa and 3-Athlete frames
- large "round font" used only on Pro model
- small "round font" used only on the most expensive EMC frames: Pro, Corsa Extra, Criterium, later Century, Grand Prix. This font type later (~1990) was used on all EMC frames
No font pattern was related to the painting pattern, but only to the frame model - that is why it is valuable for identification (especially the poor renovation of an older frame)

Interesting! There must not be many of the older Hitachi Stradas out there then, it seems to be fairly uncommon.

Thanks for the info!

The Hitachi team using EMC bikes existed for 2 years, was popular and the Strada model was produced in large (as for EMC) quantities - the Strada Hitachi model could have been made several hundred...
