Ebay tips and tricks; I might want to sell the Klein

If you're selling globally, just sell the fuselage only since the parts aren't special and simply add ship weight (though the Paul rear is nice).

Post lots of useful pics, close-ups of any damage or wear.

If you're paranoid about low bidding, set a reserve. Set it to whatever you want ... if it misses, just repost with a lower one.

Yours is a Trek-era frame, which generally are 1/5 to 1/3 the value of an older Klein Attitude (90-95). It's also an XS which limits the market further, though that can also be an advantage since they aren't sold as often.

1996 models are the last "real" Kleins - but Trek did buy Klein already in 1995. However, they did not have time to influence the line-up of 1996 but they did end color-coordinated MC2 and after that all were painted black. Also most Adroits were Attitudes in reality (except for the fork).

Sometimes people shy away of the 1996 models (especially Adroits) when they don't have enough information about Kleins. But all the "essential" Klein features do exist in the 1996 frames.

Ah, true, as per Archangel ... I always forget the calendar year / model year shift.

I'm a purist so I lean for 95.

To be exact, Attitudes have Unikleins and only Adroits have Stratas (carbon/boron reinforced).

The '96 Team Klein color is quite unpopular so the price won't be as high as you might get from linear fades etc.

Thank you, never too old to learn more about the Kleins. And indeed, these colours are less popular. Personally I think it's a shame, imo people dont like it because they think that it's a Trek Klein.

@Holden, I wont call it "purist", would rather call it something like overeacted.

If you put a reserve on, maybe it's an option to put the reserveprice in the advert. Might get people crossing the line.....

There were 96 Attitude/Adroits that were sold with color-coordinated stem/bar. The 96 Adroits that have a 2" downtube are "real" Adroits. Myself, I wouldn't shy away from a 96 (I happen to have three of them). Even though Trek did hold the papers to Klein, they didn't rule the shop floor until the following year. I personally prefer the front-to-back fades vs. linear fades so if it lowers the price...all the better to me.

Only thing, IMHO, that might hold the price down is the size. Mediums gets the most, small next, large after that (or something like that), but in general a M will go for more than a S.

me to, I really like the colour scheme of the '96 Team, in real it looks great.
And i think the quatilty of the last Attitudes/Adroits framesets is pretty good.
