My mini DV camera (MD80 type) broke on my a while back and I was going to replace it like for like but came across this whilst looking on ebay. Anyone have one? seems to be the same spec as the other ones but a bit more bike freindly in terms of design, more like a bullet camera

looks OK, would be nice to see some video taken using it. The real test is how it performs when riding at speed alternating between light and shaddy areas. Would be even better if it came with a helmet mount as bar mounted cameras give a shaky image.

Excellent, I could do with one of those for the daily commute, plus an art experiment I want to do, just to see where my eyes wander throughout the day.

I look forward to feedback for this thing, it could be the next ebay bargain like the China cree lights.

If the quality is as good as the mini DV camera then it'll be more than adequate for my needs. Hopefully it will have a wider field of view and be a bit more robust too.

I might take the plunge anyway but look forward to an update when yours arrives Red_riviera.

thanks reki thats a good review, well spotted.
It seems like its the md80 installed inside a torch case, shame the angle isn't wider but the quality is good.
The splitting of the video every 5 mins is probably not a bad thing as it will make editing a bit easier, but if you loose 2 seconds every time it changes that could get annoying as you know it would be at a crucial moment.
