Diamond Backs always sell cheap

I think with this one, I felt a bit attached - it's not missing the bargain, per se, that bothers me. It's the fact that this was my first real mountain bike, and one that got nicked - so I guess I felt like it was unfinished business.

But I'd decided not to bid - it was quite away from where I live, and I didn't want to spend any more on bikes this month. I just wasn't anticipating it going for quite as little as it did, really.

3 bikes in 1 month.....and its only the 10th

I dont know if the Zaskar is a keeper yet, as I have my 'dream' M900 one already, but its a 92 U-brake model, with LX/XTR, so will be nice once I've finished with it.

As for price; silly money for a Zaskar......silly money

Still, I may split it to raise some cash for a Xizang!

Pro-Flex arrives tomorrow 8)

Good luck....and how is it that you guys over there have an abundance of old zaskars

I always thought I could justify my bike collection at the beggining of the year but that all changed when I won an almost complete 92 Karakoram for a fiver, it's been growing throughout this year, currently on a train to pick up my clockwork

its worth buying these cheap bikes to save them from the skip. i rescued a karakoram out of my mates back yard which he was going to throw away. its nothing amazing and has a dint in the frame but it has an old xt front mech, decent avid brakes (albeit modern) kolo titanium bars. but most of all its now in my shed about to be built with a load of parts i have in stock and it reminds me of the good old days!

i had a look at that one you bought pickle and i thought i bet some GT fun lover from here would snap it up.

defintely a good price though! (i dont think he helped himself by spelling 'zaskar' wrong!

As I'm King of the Skip Monkeys (apparently...) - I rescue bikes like this all the time - if only I'd found this site sooner!
