ebay... sometimes it's not healthy...

So I'd been watching this bike for a few days. Didn't really want to spend any more money on bike stuff this, month - but I was a little piqued by it.

Not much of a description, but looked to be stock (apart from wheels) and reasonable condition 92 Diamondback Apex (ebay item number 200260459050) - same as the one I had BITD - my first proper mountain bike.

Anyway, I'd made up my mind not to bid, it was pick-up only, and around 120 miles from where I live. But it went for £26. £26 FFS. Now I'm not deluded - it was mid-range BITD, but £26 all the same.

Now I'm gutted - could probably have got it for a reasonable price, and would have been a project for the practically identical one I had nicked in '95 :-(

I think we've all watched bikes and parts go for a song, and then been kicking ourselves afterwards.

I sat and watched the ebay count down as a decent looking proflex went for 50 odd quid a while ago... but then I bought my Cannondale for 60 odd, so it swings and roundabouts.

You can't win 'em all!

Im the same with that £250 bin zaskar , I hovered over the button for ages and look back now and think what a knob ha.ha
