Just to clear-up any possible confusion about their actual colour...THEY ARE PURPLE.
They change their shade of purple, depending on how much light they are exposed to, making it difficult to photograph and get a true colour match for natural light/daylight.
I took most of the photos with the flash on which makes them look a darker shade of purple than they really are, in most natural conditions. 3 of the photos were taken without using the flash and show a truer representation of their colour, in my house.
THE 3 PHOTOS SHOWING THE CLOSEST REPRESENTATION OF THEIR TRUE COLOUR ARE THE 3 PHOTOS WITH THE DARKER BACKGROUND.
They are definitely purple and look darker/more purple when exposed to more light (don't know the science behind it but that's what happens).
I should also add that they look much nicer, in real life, than I can make them look using my camera phone. They are in amazing condition and like jewellery for your handle bars.
