Thanks for the offer, but I'm pretty fluent in written and spoken French. :P

What bugs me is that ebay is the same no matter which country you tend to click on, and then I get to ebay France and it's just laid out completely differently in sooooo many ways. :x

which is my exact point.....

On all the other ebay's I look at, it's completely standardised 8) 8) so you put what you want in the search box, hit enter and all the matching items come up. . . . . no need to mess about with auctions, classifieds, businesses, blah blah blah.

Just seems odd to me that it has to be different when most of the rest of the world are standardised

Other ebay sites around the world also have local customisation. it isn't just France.

there is a big classified site called leboncoin , which is very polular , so I guess ebay had to come up with something similar .

Seems strange that probably the most widely used company around the world (from an internet perspective) chooses not to have standardisation of its corporate image.

ebay US doesn't emulate Craigslist, etc etc.
