ebay.de question for english speaking/reading only chap

Hello everyone- just curious if anyone else who only speaks and reads English
has had any luck with using a foreign language ebay site. Seeing some things listed at the ebay.de site and cannot find any English pages for it- maybe there are none? Trying to contact a seller to ask questions and such, but need to register.....will I just have to do a crash coarse on another language?
I do have a regular American account.
Any help would be appreciated-

you can log into any other ebay site using your normal username and password, I some time contact other sellers in either all English, or at the most the ocassional word remembered from school (always start a question to German ebayers with 'Greets!')... sometimes they will reply, some times they wont. To be honest the vast majority of foreign countries who dont have English as a first language are not as ignorant/lazy as those that do have English as a first language and will therefore be able to get by in English. Comprende?

not really clear to me what you're after but if you paste or type the item number into your ebay.com search box the auction will show up. your ebay registration is valid on any and each ebay site on this globe. except for the auction description everything is in english and the bidding amount is converted into $US. you can contact the seller as you would contact a seller on ebay.com. doesn't warrant though that he/she will understand and reply in understandable english.

but for those occasions we have our retrobike buddy translation and communication service

Thanks everyone- I was able to contact the seller through another auction of his that does show up in one of my title searches. That is the strange thing, 3 listings of his user name shows up in the regular ebay.com site, but the others that I am interested in only show up when I do a ebay search through retrobike's auction watch section. Totally weird! Also- just to let you know, I am in ebay.com, I type the listing number and nothing comes up- but I can still access the listing in ebay.de! I am baffled, and will post my progress with the issue. Not very important I know, but will post anyway.
