I was working on a customers bike today,he had this groupo.
the bike was standing it the garage for a few months and looked OK
The parts themselves werent too bad except for the front mech,it was seized and wouldnt move without going through the solvent washer and much manipulation.
looking at it you could see the cage and other chrome parts were beginning to corrode and rust show through and it appears to be a rapid rise.
The spring mount area looked rather weak on the V's but overall it seems ok
and i thought the sti units were kind of flimsy.

Not a bad groupset but best suited to an occasional commute or summer cycle path,not suited for prolonged or winter use.

IMHO of course
