Shill bidding aside, why do people feel the need to chuck in endless bids with 10, 20 minutes to go in a listing?

Don't they know I want something on the cheap? :-D

Seriously though - is there some legitimate reason for doing this that I'm blind to, or are people just over excited / have too much cash / been drinking?

I'm also a total swooper. But people, let me swoop at £100 with seconds to go. Don't inflate the price to £300 with 10 minutes to go - even on a 56k dial up modem there's no justification!

Yeah can be frustrating watching people bid it up for no reason.

Sometimes i do bid a bit early due to the amount of times ive just missed something by a minute due to forgeting and getting lost in the endless search for parts :roll:
