Easy riders.

The proper way to descend on an Ordinary. My friend Tony (who only rides Ordinaries) always comes down hills - even long and steep ones - like that.

Rather him than me..................

Re:

Used to ride ordinaries with my Grandad in the 1990s. He used to have a saying “look grandad one hand, look grandad no hands, look grandad.......no bike”! That said he was the biggest show off around when folk were watching - superman on a penny saddle, legs over the bars with no hands etc. He took a massive header going downhill in the late 1980s and broke most of the bones in his face. He never quite looked the same again but got straight back in the saddle as soon as he could. Great memories though!

One hand, no hands, no teeth??
Couple of pics. Calcutta Cup. Herne Hill. June 2018. There was a lot of skill on that field and that referee was very fit.
