Yep those tectonic plates were rocking in Hull. T'was a biggie, about a weeks worth of local news, I reckon,

epicentre 30 miles south of Hull, 4.7 on the Richter scale.

I'm in Grimsby 30 miles South East of Hull

it scared the crap out of me, I'd just got out the shower!

Rumbling, glasses rattling, earth shaking etc etc...

4.7 wouldn't get much attention out here. We had one maybe twenty years back when I was perched on what is normally the most secure seat in the house, made of porcelain and bolted to the floor. You don't expect that one to try to buck you off.

I have to say I am with Repack Rider here, though I am living on a different fault line, I am pretty sure I would just sleep through a 4.7.

Not that I think these fault lines are good things mind....

Earthquakes were definitely not one of the things I missed from home whilst I was in the U.K
