Ha, you posted that exactly as I was trawling through all the Dawes mtbs on the site (I'm not allowed to add any more bikes, but if I did a Dawes would probably be top of the list).

That looks great, good to know it still gets ridden.

If anyone is interested - here the weights of all my 18" Dawes frames without forks:

1991'er Dawes "Rough Trade": lugged Reynolds 501 Magnum --> 2,8 Kg
1992'er Dawes "The Edge": lugged Reynolds 531 Magnum -->2,5 Kg
1993'er Dawes "The Edge": fillet-brazed Reynolds 653 Custom --> 2,2 Kg

Just joined the forum to post a few pics of my Dawes Edge Team. Bought as new from Ebay 30 or so years ago.

No way 30 years ago! It's Aluminium and got disc dropouts. A 30 year old one would be in 653. My guess is 2010s.

I don't see the purchase in my ebay history, but the serial number suggests to me it is probably 11/03.
Anyone know for sure from the photo?
