Early Brazed Bontrager CX with original fork (sold)

Well size is about right for me Rob. Very tempted. Could you tell me more about the ding in the top tube??

I bought this off of a girl in NYC who had it on Craigslist. She had a vague description about it being a mid nineties Bontrager. I went and saw it and bought it on the spot. She had purchased it from a shop in Colorado and "put it together" as a commuter. She decided she only needed one bike (a rather nice Ritchey soft tail that she thought was made of aluminum  ) so she sold this on to me. It really was a bit compact for my size so I sent it on to Rob. It's life prior to her buying it is a mystery. I asked her about the ding in the fame and she looked at it and couldn't recall if she had done it or if she had bought it that way .

Can I borrow it to do some single speed cross on? Please?

Thanks Atom. If I keep it, you are more than welcome to borrow it, though I can't imagine how you will fit it. I really wish I could keep it, but once I tell you about the other two bikes that are on the way, you'll understand why this one had to go :D

Better than tell you, I'll take pics from different angles, and place a couple objects by it to give you a point of reference.

Si and anyone else that's interested, my apologies for the delay. It's been a hectic couple weeks, I'll have it up shortly. Thanks :)

ooo that CX is gorgeous! 8)

Know Si will do it justice if it comes his way. With the build I mean, I'm not suggesting I find Si equally gorgeous... :?

Soon, hopefully. It's still in transit.

The fork showed up today. I haven't snapped any pics but there are a few in the auction listing:

You can probably guess what the seller's initials stand for.

I'm going to get it either painted or powdercoated, but I'm holding off until I find the right frame to put it on (either a Bonty or something brazed).

I won another unique Bontrager fork at the same time. It's already got paint on it but could probably use a respray:

It's incredibly light. I'll probably put it on one of my Braves (which both have beefy Tange Big Forks).
