Hello everyone,
Here is my wife's classic MTB, from the Gerber bike shop here in Switzerland. Gerber didn't build their own frames, but bought frames from Italy and Asia and assembled them to order.
As usual, I am missing "before" photos documenting the condition in which the bicycle came to me. Imagine a white handlebar/basket combination attached to a threadless stem and a quill adaptor, if you will. Now, the handlebar is a Ferraroli Barflex, one of the first carbon MTB handlebars.
The seatpost used to be a black Deore XT with partial logo, and is now a silver Deore XT without logo, which better matches the chrome plated T-Bone stem.
The tubing sticker doesn't indicate the Prestige Concept tube set, but the ovalized seat tube at the bottom bracket suggests it.
Here are the completed, current day photos, with the exception of purple polycarbonate platform pedals, color matched to the saddle and handlebar accents. The bike is in daily use these days, commuting in between our old apartment and the one we must move into before the end of the month. It's no coincidence that the walls of the living room and our little girl's room are now painted in a very similar shade to the paint color of this bike!
