I have a Metal Matrix Dynatech MTB with Rex Trimnal (X-Lite) forks and some of the original XTR groupset + more modern LX & XT mechs/Chainset. Plus Hope hubs on Mavic rims with fibrelite spokes to the front wheel.
I raced this in the 90's as a factory supported rider via my local shop (where I worked as the saturday lad!) It has sat unused in my garage and has recently, as I have got back into riding after 10 years off! (shame on me!) been replaced by a more modern bike (double shame!)
I would therefore like it to go to a new home where it will be loved and ridden and not just be some sort of garage art as it is currently!
If anybody is interested in making me an offer, let me know. I don’t want to put it on Gaybay and have some monkey buy it who doesn’t know what it is!
I have some great memories of racing this (though this frame only did a few races as I got a new frame for the start of each season) in UK Nationals and a few foreign races.
This was the top of the range Dynatech MTB at the time and a exact replica of what the team riders were using. When I stopped racing (due to injury) Raleigh allowed me to keep the bike, but resprayed it in one of the colours of the time, other than the original Dynatech purple and champagne colour’s that I raced it under.
