Spotted this whilst at the local frame builders.
He found it in his great step uncle grandad's loft or something, where its been sat unused for who knows how long.
the white on the cranks and mechs is unblemished, it really is in time warp condition.
thought some of you guys might appreciate it (i'm more into MTB so don't know much about it - although i do know a nice bike when i see one)
AND
the $64,000 question, anybody any ideas on what year it is?

I'll try to figure out what year we made that model. One thing for certain, the wheels are not part of the original spec. It would have had Shimano hubs on Alesa rims.
Lovely find though. :)

Been back down to the framebuilders and mentioned to him about the wheels being wrong!
He shows me to a Dawes that he pulled out of the loft at the same time as the Dynatech - incredibly in the same timewarp condition as the Dynatech. :o
The astute ones amongst you will have realised that to get a bike in and out of a loft you need to take the wheels off it..................................
and so, as if by magic, the afforementioned shimano rx100 hubs on alesa rims, running michelin tyres!! :)
and a couple of pics of the mint RX100 gruppo.
plus a token photo of the Dawes.
Can't remember what it is (I really should pay more attention when I'm down there) Galaxy perhaps?!
Apologies for the equally crappy phone pics, I'm gonna get a new camera for xmas!!!! :)

Dyna Tech 300

Good to read some info on these quixotic Raleighs. In keeping with the descending model number here's some pics of a recent but short-lived owned Dyna Tech 300. As bikemeister2000 alludes, this one was shod in Shimano hubs on Alesa rims. The 2055 frameset carried Shimano 300ex/Exage/Tange 'something' X headset and maybe MKS quill pedals.
As far as I know, the bike was recovered recently from a skip by a local bike recycling charity and found to be in as near immaculate condition as possible - indeed, the only blemish was a minor paint chip in the top tube.

The few miles it was ridden reminded me of Reynolds 500/501. Disappointing.

Pics on Gallery -it's late and festive cheer has flowed  :D
