Dumb front Mech Question

Hi all

just giving my 200gs front mech a clean and looking at the size, its got two stamps - 28 and 28.6. Is that a range of fit or would the higher end need a shim or something.

new to all this so forgive my ignorance

it'll be the range of frames the clamp will fit , i.e. from a 28.0 to 28.6...

you'd only need a shim if fitting it to a frame thinner than 28.0....

I just bought an XTR M961 that weighs more than my M569 8 speed LX version(137g)
Go figure..BTW Both are bottom pull/bottom swing.

yep got the originals from my 1992 Marin and some nos just in case the originals dont clean up well.
