Dug out this old photo from 1995

This was my bike then. I got the frame from Merlin (Lancashire version!) in '94 when the alu frames were hard to come by - cheap at least. Scary how much of this stuff I still have - seatpost, Hope disc brake, Front wheel (Campag Stheno), cranks (Exage), Flite saddle (now quite tatty!), Zoom stem. Marzocchi XC51's... etc!

Oh, the other bike was my girlfrinds. A British Eagle Reynolds 501 jobbie.

I felt inspired so I've dug out my old photos from around that time. 1993 Diamondback Ascent and a 1995 GT Tequesta.. IIRC..

nah. Best mate had the same obsession. Perhaps she liked blokes with 50t chainrings but he was just better looking :roll:

Cheers, been thinking about digging them out for ages.. must get around to scanning them properly, I literally just took another photo of them with my digital camera..

Never really hit it off with girls in the 90's. Wish I'd of known about the old 50t sprocket trick
