Dry Brake Lever Hoods

Hey,

I've got a set of late 1970s-early 1980s modolo brake levers.
The hoods are intact but are drying and cracking. Is there a
product or treatment that can stop this getting worse?

I've read some vague references to various American products,
but is there anything available in Europe? Perhaps something to
preserve car door seals?

Expensive wellies, eg Le Chameau have a special treatment you can buy. The wellies are naurural rubber. maybe the treatemnt would work>

I read somewhere that lanolin is used in museums to protect rubber. Maybe try some Lansinoh
