Drop Bar Help NEEDED!!!

Hello Retro Freaks, I received this stem and would love to have it on my build. But my Syntace 26.0 bar can't fit and I've not been able to find anything that feels alright and fit the stem at the same time.

Any recommendation for bars???

Have you tried the coin trick to open the clamp a bit when threading the bars through the clamp?

Usually dual groove 'Campag compatible' bard are a bit easier.

Drop bars

OK there are differant size for stems
25.4 mm (1 inch) TTT/ITM
26 mm Cinelli

you can fit a 25.4 in a 26mm use the old trick of cutting up a Coke tin as a thin spacer
would not try opening up a 25.4 to 26mm

Just to emphasise the opening up trick is to make threading the bars through easier, not to bend the clamp permanently to get them to fit! :shock:

Thank you for the suggestion guys! I have tried using the coin trick but it can't seem to work. Guess I'll have to pass it to my local bike shop to give it a shot. Or I'll have to either change the bar and keep the stem or change the stem and keep the bar. Damn... :?
