Dreamscape! Full line up and flyer on page 2

X2 with the 'so far away' thing Northampton is not far off being in the 'middle' ! I'll be there! Missed the first one! not this one!

I used to got the the Dreamscapes at Royal Bath and West and the Sanctuary, we were going to Fusions and other do's at places like Readings Rivermead complex before this. Met Murray a couple of times at RBW and The Sanctuary before his untimely demise and I seem to remember attending the first event after his death at RBW and the atmosphere being quite sombre, unsurprisingly.

Would like to attend and there are several of my mates who I used to go raving with BITD who would probably like to make this a nice little reunion night out.

Carl.

I missed most of the early Dreamscape's as I went to the early Fantazia's/Perceptions/Universe instead, and couldn't afford them all.
I think Dreamscape 7 was my first one, and what a night! Hype and Bukem both played one of the best sets I've heard them play :D

I've been chatting to the chap who runs Fantazia now about the possibility of doing a Summertime (Matchams) 20th anniversary event in Bournemouth next May.

I've got a pretty decent record collection from this era, so if any retro-bikers would like me to mix them up a C60 them let me know

Don't think they'll get a licence for Matchams again. The original summertime was the stuff of legend with one of the loudest sound systems ever. I believe there were so many complaints that no one could get a licence to hold an 'event' there again.
The Vision at Popham was much the same for different reasons. The fact that the A303 was turned into a carpark with uninvited guests climbing the fences put the kybosh on that Venue as well.
There seem to be a few of these one off venues where people granted a licence and things went so wrong that no one could get another one.

It would be nice to try again at some of these venues but I think the restrictions placed on them may be prohibitive.

Carl.

I was a bit young  to go to any of these but listened to the tape bubble packs BITD.

Gonna look into getting along for this 8)

Looking at a local club to be honest. Cant see another 16000 people turning up at Matchams
Shame The Manor is no more, as that would have been perfect

Same for me mate, I only made it to the last few before Murry died in '96, went to all manner of raves all over the place and the Dreamscape ones were always my favourite so in 2001 I found the guy's that owned the rights to the brand and started putting on 1000-1500 capacity events around the midlands followed by an event at the Sanctuary which was a mental experiance, having been there so many times to be there and be in control was amazing!

The scene was getting a bit quiet so I went back to my day job until recently when I met Jim Tang (one of Murrays best mates and the original flyer designer) we decided to do a 20th anniversay event dedicated to Murrays memory with all proceeds going to help the heroes and as close as we could to the original line up from DS1 playing tunes from the era when Murray was at the reigns.

It's going to be a mental, the reaction on facebook has been imense so much so that we've now got 3 pages as there was to much traffic.

I'll keep you posted on here when the main flyer comes out and ofcourse the tickets.

Staf.

Was wondering about Sterns but that's gone too.

The Manor was always a poor mans Sterns to me! Sterns was without a shadow of a doubt the best club I've ever been to.
Ironically, the weekend after Matchams was the last of the Sterns all-nighters.

@RAFbikes.....if you fancy a retrobiker on the line-up, I can send you a cd
