DRC rims

My local bike shop builds with these rims, I'm thinking of using them. Are they any good?

Bit heavier (and I do mean a bit, doesn't look to be too much in it) than the Mavic equivalents but have seen them offered online before now and they always look good value compared with Mavic prices. Mach 1 rims from France are also worth investigating; Helmut Berns at Sonic Cycles builds with these rims and he's put together two pairs of value-for-money race wheels for me using Mach 1 CFX clincher rims in the last few years (tedious disclaimer: no connection other than as a satisfied customer, etc.).

I don't mind them being heavier. They are for a winter bike, cyclocross and touring so need to be tough. Something box section, double eyeleted, not less than 500g but no more than 600g.

If weight's no bother, I'd go for the DRCs if they have a model that'd suit you. Google Shopping suggests you're going to save at least 8 quid per pair of rims over a Mavic counterpart.
