Dragon Boat racing

We won the event yesterday!

We entered it purposely as a fun charity event - 10 man team including a drum beater and cox steerer. Fancy dress etc - fun for a bit then it got serious....

There were 20 teams and SOMEHOW we managed to beat the lot including the local rowing team (dressed as life guards)... baring in mind we are all web, graphic and exhibition designers this was quite a feat (we go to the gym regularly which I guess helped a bit)

5 races in total. It WAS knackering...

We made 1500 quid and the combined efforts of everything made about 14k if I recall.

Fingers crossed for the MM 10 man team...

i did this last year where i work, not as easy as it looks. to get everyone in sync and get some power in your stroke is bloody hard
