Doug Bradbury Manitou Project

The 7005 bikes were the last ones made and kind of the prototype for the answer bikes. they had 135 rear ends too.
The full suspension bikes might have used the easton tubing too and they used the wide glide rears

 wow. Love all Manitous but the original Bradburys are something else. Great job you've done so far Mr Speedo 8)

Full M900 but with Cook Bros cranks. The bb is a White Ind with a long spindle. Answer bars, Manitou (Bradbury) stem that I had to have the quill replaced to 1 inch. Fork is a Manitou (Bradbury) suspension, a rigid fork would be nice but super rare. Its taken me almost two years to find a stem. The bike came with the modified M900 145mm wide hub and luckily I had held onto a wide (115mm) Manitou front hub.

I'm not sure what tubing is used but its not that crack-tastic stuff used on the later Answer frames. I need to read the old magazine articles I have, I'm sure they specify it. No idea on the weight, sorry.

Fork photo below. I need to replace the elastomers and since I took this photo I've had the steerer replaced with a shorter one:

I thought I was the only one who had that fork. I think there were only 250 made by Bradbury. This was before Answer made them. Mine is apart too. I need to source some elastomer too. Mine turned to jelly. Let me know when you find them.

I think there may well have been a few more than that, I've owned 6 bradbury ones in my time:

Lovely bike you got there Nik, testament to the time and effort you've put in!

6?! Then you must know where to get spare parts for these things. ;)

From late 1989 edition of 'Mountain Biker':

"Manitou frames are built from large diameter 6061 T6 aluminium, chosen for its shock dampening qualities, reduced frame flex and lightweight (sic)"
