So there it was, freshly listed...the bike ive been searching for for months, it looks in fairly good shape although the listing is a bit vague,
The colour is right, but the only nagging doubt is the size..
It looks just about big enough but perhaps a smidge too small, so in order to ease the trepidation I ask the standard question to the seller:

''Hi, Im very keen on this bike, but could you please let me know the measurements of the frame. Ideally the top tube and seat tube lengths, thanks very much''

and I wait a whole anxious night for the answer to arrive the following morning:

''No I cant.''

looks like I wont be splashing out the hundreds this chap is no doubt expecting then!.

It will be because he hasn't stolen it yet :)

You could work it out roughly from the wheels, measure the diameter of the rim in the photo as a base for the scale.

He's ended the listing early! If it comes back on ill post it up.

My second question went something like:
''Its a fairly straightforward question, im willing to pay well if I can find out'' etc etc....

Answer:
''Its your size, made to measure for you''

We have a section on the intranet at work where people ask for free stuff (tight bleeders most of them)

One chap recently wanted a bike for a 28 year old

One reply said they did have a spare bike, but unfortunately it was for a 30 year old
