Don't shoot me down in flames but.....

Now this is a bit of a quandary, I bought a 94' Yo (frame only).

Since buying it I haven't seen a matching pair of rigid forks come up and if they did what would they cost?

To move the build on I opted for suspension but again you're looking for 1" which is less easy obviously.

So I'm building a bike with, according to some, an excellent frame and using really top draw components (xtr, chris king, machine tech etc) so why slap some ride compromising forks on it?

I went for SIDs as I think they'll actually deliver the best ride.

Of course this is subjective...

A top-end aftermarket rigid fork would be the best option if you wanted a rigid build certainly.

I think even a custom made fork isn't prohibitively expensive.

Trouble is, what it looks like, and how it rides can be two different things.

I have a 94 DeKerf Mountain with P2 forks fitted and it rides amazingly well, but would it ride better or worse with different forks? Only one way to find out.
