if memory serves at a kona test day in thetford a chap who works for paligap told us that kona is rude in portugese. can anyone confirm or deny this?

In fact, Kona sounds like a very rude way to say vagina. It´s written with a "C" instead of a "K", but it just sounds the same way.

Between bikers, we have to spell it a bit different, so that other people (who doesn´t understand about bikes) don´t think we are being rude and using dirty language.

Instead of spelling as we should here, with an "oh", like K-oh-na, we say it with an open "o", something like "ó" or the same as you say "frost". Still sounds bad but at least we wont get hit by an old lady with an umbrella...
