Does anyone venture towards the NEw Forest Area?

Having looked at both South West and South East groups.......do any of you venture more central? I might be biased as i live in teh NEw Forest, but for retro rides and plenty of pubs, could something be organised around here?

I'm on the western edge (Christchurch way).
I do some road rides in the forest (this edge, as I can cycle from home; did a nice 25-mile loop yesterday), but don't know much off-road over that way as I've always gravitated west for muddy stuff, to Purbeck. We did do a couple of retro MTB rides over there a few years back.
Would be interested in a Forest road ride, or perhaps MTB)

I live in the Portsmouth area and have organised a few rides around here, wouldn't be too far for you to travel.

I have ridden in the New Forest but found it a bit limited being only allowed to ride on the designated cycle tracks which tend to be a bit flat and boring. I'm sure someone local would know of some better / hidden stuff which would be good to ride though.

Of course you could always organise a ride yourself and post it on the forum? I'd come along.
