Kona Paul - what length forks are they you're running there and how do they affect the handling?

They're 150mm. I've only used this setup in the North Shore where it's so technical that I'm not fast enough to notice any wash out in the handling. I imagine a more experienced rider here would find it a bit sloppy in the corners and tight technical sections though. I normally run it with a 100mm fork as it was intended, but I simply don't have the skill to ride the Shore on a hardtail with 100mm of travel. So as a temporary solution I think it's okay, but for longer periods or "normal" riding I wouldn't recommend it. I did take it for a test run in Denmark on our weekly xc route before I brought it to Canada, and I didn't have any problems, but I might have just been excited to be going home for a visit and do some wicked riding. Kona tech advised someone in a forum somewhere (can't remember where I read it) to run it at 100mm, max 110mm, and I tend to trust that advice.
