Hiya guys, are Voodoo now classed as British bikes, since Halfords bought the business, like vw bought Bentley, or bmw to rolls Royce, or classed as asian, due to manufac location, or american, due to origins?

Only wondering, as I dug out my 2013 Hoodoo, (bike of the year version, later bikes were despeced) this week, its been away since start of COVID. thought to myself, wonder what I'll do in twenty years, for spare parts for this, my old Raleigh's, no problem

What does the 2013 one look like? My son has got the frost red version with Suntour forks. One of the best bikes I’ve ever bought.

2013 bike is awesome, I'll take some pics tmw and put them on, its a Matt wine red, Joe Murray on the seat tube, pre Halfords bike. suntour radion x1 fork with handle bar lock out. hydraulics front n rear, reynolds bar, alivio group set, with sr hubs, looks a smidge dated, to the new bikes--- however, it doesn't have 2 million gears on the rear hub and grany ring on the front.

haven't had it off road since COVID... however. I have had it up bike parc Wales and cwmcarn, and it'll take a black trail as good as any 5 grand super bike. spaks up the bumps for a hard tail and won, what bike, bike of the year, all cats in 2013. I'd never sell it.

here you are, the 2013 bike, same bike, but darker red and better spec

Same bike, not on a building site.

Bought second-hand around 6 years ago, standard except for one of the brakes and the tyres, ridden to school in all weathers for 3 years, maintenance has been somewhat patchy but the bike has never left him stranded.

yup, that's same as my bike, more or less, its absolutely brilliant. much much better than the new hoodoo

My voodoo is made in Taiwan, distibuted by Halfords though that was around 12yrs ago for my
frame, if Halfords now own it I imagine there wont be much change in the processes of bike
manufacture, just mean Halfords have the controlling stake in the Voodoo brand,
therefore classing them as British bikes is a bit of a long shot in my opinion, brands these days
are all over the place, what with share holders, umbrella companys etc even frame stickers now
show designed in the UK coz there made in Taiwan.
