DMR pedal overhaul: sealed bearings or cup/cone?

They're definitely sealed bearings but they are the old v12s. I managed to get the bearing out without using the special tool so it's really the crank end that's causing confusion. Thanks for posting the vids.

It has an o-ring in it and the axle has a 'dent' around it that the o-ring locates into.its a less than satisfactory method for a high-end pedal.

I contacted DMR and they said the same too (and recommended their upgrade kit for spare seals/bearings). Weird thing is, my axle doesn't have a groove or a shoulder. Pic attached shows my axle on top; the replacement v12 one below.

So I'm still scratching my head somewhat and think I might end up selling off to someone who can figure it out!
