Disc Rotor / Caliper Sizing for my SID's

C2 is a model of disc brake made by Hope.

Yeh i know, just can't work out what all the No.2 / No.3 / etc is all about ...rotor sizes?

Partly. It's also to do with various fork fittings. A few years ago there were several fork/calliper fittings that weren't always the same, even if they looked like it.

so things are a bit more standard these days u mean? ...would like to go for some M4's, could i get 160's?

Older 5 bolt rotors are usually 165mm ,185mm[5mm bigger than modern rotors] etc.you usually have enough play[with washers] to adjust to either size.
Hope caliper sizes
No3 on the front it is for a 185mm rotor
No5 on the rear is 165mm,no5 on the front is 165mm rotor

No8 is for a boxxer
No2 is the extended frame mount caliper
No4 is for the pre IS mounts
Can't remember the others


There was an online chart showing all the sizes to the caliper numbers.Seems to have disappeared :?

But i actually think the no 5 on the rear is 150 or 155mm :?
