disappointingly underwhelming!

1997 common and not-really-very-desirable Kona, 3rd from bottom of range, isnt exactly the kind of bike that will be snapped up I'm afraid....

Still 250 isnt a bad price he got for that... :?

I saw a couple of those overhere in nyc...well more like CT...going for $150 and $175. He got nearly triple that, in dollars anyway. I'd be pleased.

I agree he's done quite well to get £250 for it. An auction might not have got that far, but sweetsarahjane wanted it and given a choice between pay 250 or don't get it, she chose the former. Quite a lot of buyers just can't let an item go, once they've decided they want it, so I think setting a high BIN can sometimes be quite a successful strategy.

I hope sweetsarahjane is quite tall though, because not many females like a size 19 bike and he sold it wrongly as an 18.

Yes, I overpaid once...or maybe twice, for a bike I had to have for pure nostalgia. If I were to sell it, I wouldn't get back what I spent. But I don't regret it in the least.
