Cheers mate thanks for help i pull the trigger on it then best of it is i measured everything i have and never realised about the .2 etc and my callipers were out by 1mm so i have to totaly remeasure everything couldnt work out why 2 of the seatpost i bought wouldnt fit what a knob haha
Buy analogue ones! Cheap digital are rubbish. Try opening them and closing them quickly and then measuring the same thing....you will 3 different measurements! Worse when they get a bit dirty and greasy.
If your paying £150+ for a pair probably fine, but a £20 manual pair will last you the rest of your life and your children's and theirs....without new batteries!
True, it depends on what size of stuff your measuring, so if its a cm or 2 tollerance your probably ok with cheap digital.
Ps if you want to measure seat tubes try a cheap set of bore gauges (£10), then you can measure inside the tube...not round the top where its been crimped by the bolt. That way madness lives!
Thanks tootyred ye i thought they wouldnt be the best and might not last the cause but thats worse than i thought probaly just get a normal set now then its the .2 etc that you need to get right you wouldnt think it would make that much of a diffrence but it does especialy on seatpost
