Differences between M737 and 739 rear mechs

Hi folks. Doing some research for a new resto project. Question as per title. I think the 737 is 7 speed, and the 739 is 8 speed. Other than that, they look fairly similar. Sods law in action, I'll need a 737, and have a 739.

Pivot bolt housing is slightly larger on the 739 - supposedly to make it stronger.

There are a few subtle differences. The 739 is the improved version, there are one or two threads with the details in.

But all in all, just use whichever you have that works better between the two.
