Did Syncros make a cattlehead in anything other than 25.4 bar clamp?

There was a road version IIRC - so probably 26.0?

Looks like the road stem was available in 26.0 and 26.4, HOWEVER they were single bolt at the front whereas the MTB one was double bolt.
Cheers. This is double bolt. I think it’s issue is from being overtightened
Agreed, my money is on a straight bar been fitted minus it's shim ala syncros bar or similar

I will take that money then as your incorrect. It was a Titec bar with the shim installed. Shims undamaged (I just checked) and the bar has since been installed on another bike and working perfectly. Dom here are more pictures that will hopefully inspires confidence in what I said.

I also don’t think a 25.4 clamp will ever grip a 22.2 bar! As you’ve stated the clamp was at 24.4 So still 2.2mm off clamping a bar.

Just to clarify the 24.4 measurement was without any pressure from the stem bolts in its open position. Entirely possible it could close up a couple more mm but I didn’t try.
It’s now measuring 25.2-25.4 in its open position but would need to be slightly more to slide over a 25.4 bar without having to use force , or twist a bar through.
I have fitted a scrap 25.4 bar to it but wouldn’t try to scrape a nice NOS hyperlite through it.
For reference I’ve another 3 Syncros stems which measure 25.8 - 26.1 when open. And likely could be pulled wider if needed but happily slot over any 25.4 bar.
It’s now measuring 25.2-25.4 in its open position but would need to be slightly more to slide over a 25.4 bar without having to use force , or twist a bar through.
