Did Bayliss Wiley ever make seat posts?

Re:

Hi, good question, nice seat post, can only ask the question would a British 1950's manufacturer stamp the seatpost with 27mm ? Not sure. Terry

Re: seat post

I'd suspect a copy but it seems a lot of trouble to go to create a low cost fake. Bought one for my Galibier anyway - will look nice - just curious! Bob

Can't see the logo on my tablet but looks triangular? Baylis Wiley logo was just BW in plain text?

Don't remember one but there again who remembers Birmalux. Lol

Shaun

Highly unlikely to be the BW we know. When they were making parts, seatpins in the UK were sized 3, 4 and 5. Metric 'names' were unknown.

Well, to me anyway.

Oh, but I do remember Birmalux...................

Memory still hanging on in there then.

Re:

Had a couple of these posts on bikes I've bought in Belgium. Did wonder if they were made by Baylis-Wiley but the other parts on the various bikes were not, so didn't give it much more thought.

All kinds of relatively small and obscure makers of bike parts in Belgium and the Netherlands - Kermesse cranks, Junckers, Lepper saddles...
