DiamondBack Apex 1990

Re: DiamondBack Apex 1992

Excited to find a 1992 Diamond Back Apex (edited)! 21" frame--largest made this year. It has the Shimano Deore DX. The black paint is deceptive -- up close it has a green paint "spidered" finish. The right shifter is index "click" while the left shifter is the whole slider kind. -- 25 years old in this post!

Hi there,
That last apex with the forest green fleck is a 1992. I rode mine for 16 years. I have the 1992 brochure. Awesome piece of kit it was too. Kept going after suffering many cracks that were just mig welded. I even added a disc brake mount on the back. These few years were certainly vintage Diamond Back.

Thanks for the confirmation markdoyle75. This was all I could ferret out from aging specs from the Deore DX group. That also explains why the top tube is slanted downward a bit on mine, but flat in the 1990 Apex photos. Found the catslog online. Thanks!
