Looking great!

There seems to be a bit of interest around here recently, in building up cheaper klunkers/ cruisers for messing about on.

Cheap, fun bikes for commuting, running errands and riding trails (preferably trails that lead to pubs). It's a nice change from big $$$ NOS garage queens that never get ridden.

Ah, if only I was in your United Kingdom during the summer, I'd love to attend Charlie Bikemonger's "Klunker Classic" non-race event.

Steep hills, alcohol, picnic, inappropriate bikes = A perfect weekender.

More klunker updates!

don't think the stem looks right

cheers!

i'l going ahead now so if you want it back give me a shout!

was only teasing - it was a strange swap we did as we both don't want the stems we rec'd (a mate wants the Spesh one tho!) :D

the one you sent WAS perfect and i was going to use it but i started buying stuff without checking that the forks i had actually fitted the frame, which they didnt so i'm going ahead now.

QUICK UPDATE

the home made forks are getting sleeved and welded shortly and i will also be removing the canti mount.

i am not happy with th ecolour for the frame as to me it just looks like red oxide primer rather than the matt brown it is supposed to be.

i have bought some used mini bike bars but the seller didnt tell me he'd chopped them right down so i still need bars.

i have built the front wheel amd am just waiting on a karma rear hub so i can start the rear.

brown spank rims and snowflake (ish) spokes

watch this space...

alsoo got a set of 3 peice cranks from bendycat eleventeen. the chainring is away having some holes cut into it and the cranks are my polishing project tonight. polished steel mmmm
