Diamond Back DBR Axis....2000?

Would this be a 99 or 00? I can find any period diamond back catalogues!

Seems nice and light and all original XT with LX chainset and front mech.

Apart from the wheels obviously.

It's from the dieing days of steel frames pre EN regs, so as a result is probably one of the best.....full chromoly Fuji butted tubing.

I popped the elastomers out of the right leg and they are clean as a whistle. I don't think this has ever been ridden.

I think you've got a Year 2000 there. I believe it is in the same catalogue as my X-Link, will check if I find the time later.

It looks like an earlier frame that has newer paint and decals with a late 90's to early 2000's build.

Nah it's original I've seen a couple of bikes exactly the same

So I've checked my 1997, 1999 and year 2000 Diamondback catalogues and it isn't in any of them.

I guess it could have been in a separate DBR handout, but seems unlikely as my diamondback catalogues also show the DBR branded bikes. On that basis I'd guess it might be a 2001 bike.

I believe that these were a frame only option from the manufacturer at the time (2000?)

Judging by the few built bikes I've seen in this colour scheme, some retailers saw fit to build them up to and sell them as full bikes.
