yes! One of the lads I started mtbing with bitd had one of these. Full DX. Nice bike.

While I had my Rockhopper, My mate had the full smoke colour Ascent. I loved that paintjob also.
Only went off it when it was copied by some cheapo brand :cry: Sacriledge (sp??)

Oh my.................!

Shame it's a bit big for me.

I think that was the nicest paint job ever done on a bike! Grey/blue smoke with a metallic pearl. Stunning.

Only went off it when it was copied by some cheapo brand Sacriledge (sp??)

My mate has a Townsend from around then with that paint job...

One of the original Carreras had that paint job as well, although it was no cheapie - full XT, tioga t bone stem and Michelin hilite hots! Mmmmm

I sold those at a shop I worked at and all I remember about them is the paint was very chippy.
