First time I’ve seen these, but already thinking Champagne corks screwed to old brake clamps could be a thing. But why? Is it for a mid/centre of the bar grip?

Dummy hoods are for fixies or tandem stokers. Imlach probably has other ideas for them, butt that is just the way he rolls.

I run guidonettes but would like an additional hand position. Fun idea with the cork! Very french.

No need to be sorry, I did run it that way on the Dawes for a bit, but the hole annoyed me. I suppose I could have found something to plug it. I saw some neat ones made by a small company but I think they stopped producing it.
