Desperately seeking a nice pair of 27" wheels

Looking for a nice pair of 27" wheels. Campag hubs preferred and clinchers would be brill! :D

Thanks!

If it's definitely 27" and not 700C then 'clinchers' is all you'll get.

They were called 'high pressures' BITD.

Sprints for tubular tyres are only 700C size (as well as 650C etc.)

There is a difference in diameter, check out other past threads about this.

And if you are inundated with offers I am in need a nice pair for an early 60’s Freddie Grubb. High flange alloy would be good.

I have 2 unknown brand 27" alloy rims in good condition from the late 70s that you can have for postage cost if needed

Aye, I could do with a pair of 27's if there's a third set out there looking for a home. Nothing fancy, can be alloy or steel or any combination of the two, so long as they're round(ish).

Apologies to knowthejo for jumping on his wheel requesting bandwagon!

I've got 3 pairs of 27" wheels
Barely used concave Weinmann rims on Ofmega hubs (QR), galvanised spokes(Which I'll polish up first) £80 incl fully insured postage.
THESE ARE ACTUALLY 700C, my bad
Very good Weinmann on Maillard hubs (QR), galvanised spokes(though I'm currently polishing them up) & a 5 speed Maillard freewheel in great nick £55 incl post
Nice Mavic MA2s on Miche hubs, stainless steel single gauge spokes £70 incl post.
I've got a pair of decent Michelin World tours with tubes for another £10 if bought with any pair
Last pair are still on my mums old Dawes & I haven't fully checked them out yet but would be £38 incl post (non QR axle)
If collecting take off £8

ALL SMALL FLANGE & CLINCHERS!

Tony
