DESPERATE HELP Bike mechanic help needed UPDATED

Have rounded the hex head so can't undo. Please ways to undo

In these situation I usually resort to my trusty impact driver with maybe a slightly oversized hex bit, depending on actual situation. Always works. You can buy these from Halpoo if you don't have one already. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165469

The other option is to drill a small hole on the outer edge of the bolt and use a punch n hammer. Problem being with this is you get the torque in all the wrong places so it doesn't usually work.

Thanks easy rider. I think that part is made of cheese. Plus according to the importers you can't buy that part as a spare part :x

A mate has a bolt extractor. So he will remove it for me. He has complete work shop Wish i had his shed. But then again i'm dangerous with tools and bikes. So best i leave well alone

the main problem with that hex head is its 12mm and massive tone that is bad are you sure they dont carry spares at the whole sale lever il try and see what i can get you mate as a replacement

Well thats what a shop said :roll: But the part number is Y-1H5 98040 Crank Arm Fixing bolt unit.

A word of caution, having seen the photographs from "the bottle cage incident" perhaps ask someone else to help
