DESPERATE HELP Bike mechanic help needed UPDATED

Will have to drill it out. As we tried all options offered and still wont remove. Just made the hole bigger and bigger :x F**king modern shimano

Talk about made of cheese. Tried all suggestions and every time made the hole bigger. It will not move. So driller killer time :shock:

Just don't bugger the bottom bracket axle as you've stuffed the cranks then


If it's cheese (since it's only a tensioning bolt it doesn't do a lot and redundent one the arm is bolted down) then a dremel and grind it away till the head comes off. Take the arm of then the other side out.
Then tap the inside part around till it comes out or gently slice it till it folds up.
Try it from the other side if you have something long enough as well.

drill it. Now off. I told my mate a tiny little error. That i was 100% certain which way to undo. The reason it wouldn't undo was i told him the wrong way
(he had said that sound very odd) got to laugh :roll:

i had a similar problem recently, rounded crank bolt. tried to chisle a slot, then screwdriver in the slot to undo. tried drilling (got about a mm into it). tried grinding it off with a disc atatchment for my drill. tried jamming in a bigger allen key. tried epoxy putty with an allen key, then 6 hours straight of (junior) hacksawing!! :shock: :evil: any damage you say? no cap'n!
