When I first watched the office I thought, 'wow - Ricky Gervais is a genius, look at how well he portays that shallow prat of a boss'. To be brutally honest, and despite trying really hard to like him, I'm starting to come to the conclusion that he is that shallow prat - which is why he could act the part so well. Winced through about five minutes of Derek and flicked over.
